Gene Roncone
Biographical Information
Gene Roncone was elected to serve as the District Superintendent/Network Pastor of the Rocky Mountain Ministry Network in April 2019. However, he is often said to prefer the simple title of “helper.” *1 As the district superintendent, Gene leads a network that provides support, resourcing, and training for nearly 165 churches and 550 ministers serving over 44,000 constituents in Colorado and Utah. The network stretches 800 miles from St. George, Utah on its western border to Burlington, Colorado on its eastern boundary. *2
Gene can best be described as an innovator, problem solver, and ministry practitioner that has served as a faith-based executive in two religious body headquarters. He has pastored churches small and large and as different as a one-stoplight rural town to a high-tech community in California’s Silicon Valley, and as diverse as the nearly 400,000 resident metropolitan city of Aurora, Colorado.
Gene has received numerous awards for community problem solving and is an accomplished author. His books have been on Amazon’s top selling lists for Christian clergy on topics related to church leadership and discipleship. In addition, he is also the founder and curator of the Charles T. Crabtree School of Ministry (CSM). The Crabtree School of Ministry is a sixteen-week mentoring cohort designed to train emerging leaders for their first lead pastorate.
Gene graduated from Bethany University and then studied communications at Western Seminary and organizational development at the University of San Francisco. Gene has also completed specialized training in other areas of leadership development.
