What We Believe

Early on, leaders of the Assemblies of God realized a need for outlining some essential standards. Today, the 16 doctrinal standards are essentially the same as they were in 1916.

  7. We Believe

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit Is a Special Experience Following Salvation

This experience empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.

The Church exists to seek and save all who are lost in sin. The Church is the Body of Christ and consists of all people who have accepted God’s offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus will rapture His Church prior to His return to Earth. At that time, believers who have died will rise and meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them to be with the Lord forever.

One of the four cardinal doctrines of the Assemblies of God.
  14. We Believe

    The Millennial Reign of Christ

Jesus will return with His saints at His second coming and begin His benevolent rule over Earth for 1,000 years. At that time, many in Israel will recognize and accept Him as the Messiah and Savior.
