    IMPORTANT UPDATE

The RMMN Presbytery wanted to share an important update with you. In the midst of concerns expressed about his leadership and a recognition of division in the Network, Gene has submitted his resignation as Superintendent, which the RMMN Presbytery has received and accepted, effective December 5, 2025. We are grateful to Pastor Gene and Rhonda for their 6½ years of service to our Network. Pastor Gene’s resignation letter can be accessed here. 

In accordance with RMMN bylaws, Alex Lucero has been appointed to serve as interim superintendent until a new superintendent is elected. It is important to note, per bylaw requirements, that while Pastor Alex will be assuming necessary superintendent responsibilities during this season, he is not filling the vacant superintendent position itself. Only the Network Council has the authority to fill that vacancy.

Nominations for superintendent will be received at the sectional councils in February. Following the nomination process, an in-person special Network Council meeting will take place in Grand Junction at Victory Life Church on March 26 at 2 PM, where a vote will be held to elect our next District Superintendent. We will still host our regular Network Council April 27-29, 2026.

During this season of transition, we invite you to be in prayer for our network, trusting that the Lord will guide, strengthen, and unify us as we move forward together.
